Work Experience

Work Experience is available to Year 10, 11 and 12 students. Marnebek supports its students and provides them with the tools to find a Work Experience placement that suits them. We provide all the paperwork that needs to be signed by the employer, parent(s), student and school.

It is the student’s responsibility to travel to and from the work placement. This includes the initial interview.

The Careers teacher visits each workplace prior to each student placement to conduct a Risk Assessment.

Safe At Work

Before students can undertake Work Experience, they must complete the "Safe At Work" General Module and corresponding test.

If students are asked to complete any of the Industry Modules, they must do so.

Please note the above modules are adapted for Marnebek students and links are for reading purpose only.

The following is a list of documents that must be completed before students commence work experience:

VET/SBAT

This number allows students to login to their training account and see all training records and the results of their courses. Students can print out their results to show to employers or training providers.

If you don't already have a USI, you can create one at https://www.usi.gov.au/. VET/SBAT participants must also complete the following forms:
