PREP 2026: Enrolment Enquiry

Foundation (Prep) 2026 Enrolment Enquires:
To be able to enrol with us for 2026, your child must be turning five by April 30 of 2027.
The Department of Education has released an updated statewide Foundation (Prep) enrolment timeline for the 2026- 2027 school year.
The timeline advises families when and how to enrol their child into Foundation (Prep) at a Victorian government primary school, including Marnebek School.

Tours are now open for 2027 Foundation (Prep) students potentially enrolling with us.
What you need to know:
1. Marnebek School is a Specialist School for students who have been diagnosed with an intellectual disability.
2. Students enrolling at Marnebek School must have a cognitive assessment completed by a psychologist to ensure they are eligible to attend a Special School.
3. From Monday 20-April-2026, Marnebek School is able to refer potential 2027 foundation students for a cognitive assesment to determine whether or not they meet the criteria for intellectual disability. This assesment is paid for by the Department of Education.
4. Referrals made by us close on Friday-6-Nov-2026. This ensures that we are able to have your child assessed in time to start with us in 2027.
5. To be eligible for enrollment at Marnebek School, the Cognitive Assessment must show that the student has an IQ of 70 or below and is diagnosed with an intellectual disability.
6. All enrollments for 2027 close on the 4-Dec-2026.
What to do next:
1. Complete the online enquiry form by clicking on the link below.
2. Our Enrollments Officer will contact you to have a chat about your child’s needs, eligibility to attend our school and answer any questions that you have. We aim to do this within 7 days of the enquiry being submitted. If for some reason you do not hear from us, please feel free to call the administration office on 5996 3858 and ask to speak to the Enrollment officer.
3. We will organise a tour of our school for you to ensure that we are a good fit for your child. School Tours are Tuesdays and Fridays between 9:30 AM - 10:30 AM.
