Principals address
Dear Parents/Carers,
As we move further into Term 3, it has been wonderful to see students at both campuses well-settled and fully engaged in their learning. Some highlights over the last two weeks have been:
SSG Day
Last Monday, we held our SSG (Student Support Group) Day, this was an extremely valuable opportunity for staff and families to come together to discuss student progress and semester 2 learning goals. These meetings play an essential role in ensuring every student receives the support they need to thrive. Thank you to all families for attending this day and always working alongside us as we strive for the best outcomes for your child/ren.
Year 5 Swimming Lessons
Our Year 5 students made a splash during their swimming lessons, building confidence in the water and developing important safety skills. This marks the end of swimming lessons for 2025, all students across the school have had this opportunity and we are already looking ahead to providing this in 2026!
Whole School Assembly
Last Friday we held our whole school assembly in the gym, this is becoming more familiar for our students now and it was so good to see such engagement from students and a lot of school pride on show! Our next whole school assembly is on Friday 22nd August and we would love to see as many families as possible attend, this will also be our book week dress up day!
Looking forward to a brilliant term ahead, wishing everyone a great weekend.

News from New Holland Drive
Grade 1
This term, our OT, Emma, has been visiting our classes to run engaging, therapeutic activities designed to support our social play skills, encourage us to explore new foods, and help us regulate our sensory needs.
Students have loved diving into a variety of hands-on experiences from splashing and experimenting in the water play tubs, to stepping into the role of doctors during structured play sessions, and creating colourful, imaginative “food faces.” These activities have not only been a lot of fun but have also helped build confidence, cooperation, and creativity in the classroom.

Year 9/10
Year 9/10
So far in this term, our Year 9/10 students have been actively involved in a range of hands-on programs that build important life skills.
In Cooking, students have explored new recipes, learned practical kitchen skills, and worked together to create delicious dishes.
Our Duke students have been diving into the world of addition, with a focus on two important strategies: counting all and counting on. To enhance our learning experience, we utilized our in-class number machine, which has proven to be a fantastic tool for exploring numbers in a fun and interactive way. Students took turns using the machine to find answers, and they recorded their findings, showcasing their growing understanding of numbers. We’re looking forward to continuing our exploration of subtraction and building on our math skills in the weeks ahead.
Our Sports Advance group has been making a splash this term with a swimming focus, developing stroke technique, building endurance, and gaining vital water safety skills. These sessions have been a fantastic way for students to challenge themselves, set personal goals, and celebrate their progress.
Our Gardening program has seen students planting, maintaining, and harvesting fresh produce, while learning about sustainability and healthy living.
In Technology, students have been hands-on with creative projects, problem-solving tasks, and experimenting with new tools, developing both technical and collaborative skills.
We are proud of their enthusiasm and the growth they’ve shown in these programs.
