YEAR 11/12
In Year 11 and 12, our students undertake one of 2 streams of learning.
The students who began ASDAN in year 9 & 10 will continue this but focus more so on preparing for post school transition. Students with assistance from school staff will attend weekly work experience and or community work arrangement opportunities with NDIS service providers, to prepare them for life after school. Simultaneously, the students will participate in a range of pathways focussed learning that integrates literacy, numeracy and personal and social skills.
The 2nd stream of learning is the Victorian Pathways Certificate (VPC). Students who participate in VPC will undertake a school-based apprenticeship (SBAT) OR VET certificate specialising in a specific industry e.g. cooking, horticulture, warehousing (SBATs) Or Hair and Beauty, Animal Care, Building and Construction or more (VET). Students will have at least 2 days a week of SBAT or VET study and 3 days a week of classes at school. At school, students participate in the VPC curriculum which has 4 subjects, Literacy, Numeracy, Personal Development Skills & Work Related Skills.
