Principals’ Address
Dear Parents/Carers,
We've had a brilliant start to Term 4. Our Prep students enjoyed an excursion to Inflatable World last Thursday, I went to visit, and it was fantastic to see all of the students and staff having such a fun time!
Meanwhile, our Year 11 and 12 students have been on camp this week in Kyneton, participating in a variety of outdoor education activities, the students have been looking forward to this all year. For our year 12 students this will be one of the lasting memories of their time at Marnebek School and they even had great weather for their time away!
Across the school, there’s been a strong focus on our SWPBS (School-Wide Positive Behaviour Support) approach. Students have been consistently demonstrating positive behaviours and earning valuable house points - well done to everyone!
We’re excited for what’s ahead this term as we move towards the end of 2025. On Wednesday, we are holding our Street Stalls at New Holland Drive and we will also be celebrating Diwali at our Friday assembly at 9.30am in the gym. We hope to see as many of our families there as possible.
Have a fantastic weekend!

News from New Holland Drive
Let’s hear from the preps!
This week, our Prep students have been busy exploring the world around them through sensory play and hands-on activities. We've taken our writing practice outdoors, using chalk to form letters on the concrete, making learning both fun and active.
Water play has also been a highlight, with students identifying letters and sounds using sponge letters, this has been an exciting way to reinforce early literacy skills.
In our Learn to Play sessions, our focus this term is on construction. The students have been busy building with blocks, using toy trucks and exploring tools to bring their imaginative creations to life. It’s been wonderful to see teamwork, problem-solving, and creativity in action!
We’re so proud of the curiosity and enthusiasm our Prep students bring to learning every day!

Food Technologies
Food Technologies
This term in the Food Technology kitchen at Corrigans Road, students participated in a range of enriching culinary experiences, including our Masterclass and Gala Day events. Looking ahead, we are excited to host a Halloween-themed breakfast and a Year-End High Tea to celebrate the festive season.
Throughout the term, students developed essential food preparation skills such as chopping vegetables, fruits, herbs and experimented with a variety of delicious fillings. Taste testing was a highlight and we were honoured to welcome Chris and other school leaders who graciously served as judges for our Masterclass creations.
These activities provided students with the opportunity to explore diverse cuisines, refine their cooking techniques, and take pride in their culinary achievements. In addition, Upul and Sara are currently planning a special graduation breakfast to farewell our Year 12 students in style.
