Principals’ Address
What a wonderful few weeks it has been at Marnebek School, filled with learning, celebration, and community spirit. I am proud to share some of the highlights from across our school.
Our Grade 1 students enjoyed an exciting excursion to Inflatable World, where they were able to explore, bounce and challenge themselves in a fun, energetic environment. Their behaviour, teamwork and enthusiasm were outstanding and we are so pleased to see them engaging so positively outside the classroom.
On Tuesday, some of our students represented Marnebek with great pride during the Remembrance Day ceremony with the community of Cranbourne. They participated respectfully and took part in the laying of the wreath, showing maturity and a strong understanding of the importance of remembering those who have served our country.
We also held a very successful Athletics Day, where students from grade 5 to year 12 showcased their sporting skills, teamwork and sportsmanship. It was a joy to see students cheering each other on and giving their best efforts in every event.
Our Whole School Assembly brought everyone together to celebrate achievements, acknowledge student efforts, and build our sense of community. These moments remind us how special it is to see our school united.
Finally, I’d like to extend some warm staff congratulations.
• Congratulations to Sarah, who was married over the past weekend, we wish you a lifetime of happiness.
• Congratulations to Zoe on the arrival of her beautiful baby , we are so excited for your growing family.
• A heartfelt farewell to Hannah, who begins her maternity leave , we wish you all the best and look forward to welcoming you back in the future.
Thank you to our students, staff and families for continuing to make Marnebek School such a vibrant and supportive community.

News from New Holland Drive
Year 5/6
Year 6 are heading into their last few weeks at New Holland Drive. Students enjoyed Athletics Day at Casey Fields and are enjoying practising their graduation song and for the end of year concert. Each Friday some of our students visit We Rock the Spectrum and the visit is fill of laughter and excited squeals. Lots of learning is still happening each day and all Year 6 staff are incredibly proud of how far every student has come over the year.
What an exciting time it has been for the Year 5 students as they prepare for Market Day! The students have been busy getting creative and working hard to design and make their stall items. They have enjoyed making colourful paper mâché fairy floss and painting unique decorative rocks to sell. It’s been wonderful to see their teamwork, creativity, and enthusiasm shine through as they get ready for the big event. We can’t wait to see all their fantastic stalls come to life on Market Day!

Athletics Day – Highlights
On Wednesday, our students took part in an exciting Athletics Day, competing in the 100m sprint, shot put, vortex throw and long jump. The energy was high and it was wonderful to see students giving their best effort and cheering each other on throughout the day.
A huge congratulations to Gawarn House, who were the overall winners of the event! 🏆
Thank you to our staff for organising such a smooth and enjoyable day and to our students for their fantastic sportsmanship. It was a great celebration of effort, teamwork and fun.
Congratulations to James !!
We pleased to share that James Stott (2A) will soon be completing his treatment for leukemia. On 21st November, James will ring the ceremonial bell at Monash Children’s Hospital, a milestone that marks the end of his treatment and symbolises hope for other children on similar journeys.
To celebrate this occasion, TheirCare will be hosting a special community event on Friday 21st November in the TheirCare space at New Holland Drive. The Marnebek community are invited to enjoy an afternoon of fun, including raffles, bingo, a dance incursion, face painting, snacks, and more.
We kindly ask everyone to bring a gold coin donation to support Monash Children’s Hospital. TheirCare’s goal is to raise $500 in honour of James and in appreciation of the incredible care they provide to many children and families in our community.
